A1 Jordan

Everybody knows the former professional basketball player, entrepreneur, principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets, Michael Jordan. If not then you must have been living up under a rock. Most people my age know Michael Jordan for his shoes. He makes the famous Jordan’s that everyone wears in today’s society.

Jordan did not design his very first pair of Jordan’s that came out in 1984. Peter Moore designed them. He made the Nike Air Jordan 1’s to match the Chicago Bulls uniforms. Jordan’s are very popular almost everywhere. Jordan’s became important to people, because they were worn by what is widely considered the greatest basketball player of all time.

People even camp out outside of stores when a new pair of Jordan’s come out that they like. The Air Jordan 1s were so popular; they came out more than one time. The Air Jordan 1’s were originally released to the public from 1985-1986. They got released again in 1994, 2001-2004, they also got released in 2007-2014.

Because of their popularity Jordan's can sometimes cause major problems in different areas. The Air Jordan line has been associated with numerous riots, assaults, robberies and murders. It is very shocking that people would act this way all over a pair of shoes.  It's not only a recent issue though. In 1988 a principal had to ban the Nike Air Jordan’s from his school because of the commotion they were causing.

To be honest I enjoy going to grab a pair of Jordan’s just like the next person, but you also have to watch who your with so you don’t get into any kind of trouble. Jordan’s are one of the most famous brands of all time. When you are in line to get your Jordan’s, stay to yourself and be safe, because some people will do what ever it takes to get a pair of A1’s
