The Astonishing Talents of Big Bang

Big Bang is a K-pop boy band. It consist of five boy members: G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri. They have won many awards in the last few years.  Click the “Read more” button to find out more about the members.

G-Dragon

Kwon Ji Yong, who is also known as G-dragon, is the leader and the main rapper of Big Bang. He was born on August 18, 1988 and can speak English. He is also known as “Iguana Idol” because he changes his hair color a lot. Before he was a member of Big Bang, he was part of a group called “Little Roora” at the age of 7.

T.O.P

Choi Seung Hyun, who is also known as T.O.P, is the lead rapper for Big Bang. He is 30 years old and is from Seoul, South Korea. Other than singing, he has acted in two drama: “Iris” and “I am Sam”. His birthday is on November 4, and his nickname is “Tempo”.  Fun fact, he is the first Korean artist to have his song release worldwide on iTunes.

Taeyang

Dong Yong Bae, also known as Taeyang, is the main vocalist and dancer in Big Bang. His name (Taeyang), means sun. He was born on May 18, 1988 in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. When Dong Yong Bae was in 5th grade, he was a child actor. He acted in a part as mini Sean in JinuSean A-Yo MV. He can speak English, Japanese, and Korean. Taeyang is known for his impressive vocal abilities.  

Daesung

Kang Daesung, also known as Daesung, is the lead vocalist for Big Bang. He was born on April 26, 1989. He loves to bring smiles to people’s faces, that why he is nickname “Smiling Angel”. In Japan, the people consider him as being a bad boy because of his appearance on “Happy Together.”

Seungri

Lee Seung Hyun, also known as Seungri, is the lead dancer, vocalist, and the maknae (youngest). He was born on December 12, 1990. He is known for his blunt attitude and his overconfidence. His nickname is “Panda” because he has dark eye circles and likes to collect panda stuff (it was created by his fans and his fellow members).
