The 5 Levels of Anxiety

Anxiety effects 40 million adults in the U.S age 18 and older. About half the people who are diagnosed with anxiety also suffer from depression. It also makes you lose interest in things that you use to love or like to do.


1.Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): This type of anxiety is similar to the other anxieties, The symptoms include constant worry, restlessness, and trouble with concentration. This make you worry about your everyday life with no obvious reason.

2.Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): OCD usually begins in teens or young adults. Some symptoms are Fear of contamination or dirt, needing things orderly and symmetrical, and aggressive or horrific thoughts about harming yourself or others.


3.Panic Disorder: This causes panic attacks which is the  sudden feeling of fear when there is no actual danger. These can happen anywhere at anytime, some people stop going to the places where they had these attacks.


4.Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): This usually happens to people who have been through life or death experience. This causes them to be triggered by little things that remind them of that event.


5.Social Phobia (Social Anxiety Disorder): This is a disorder that makes it hard for you to interact with other people. Sometimes it can make everything you enjoy doing hard to do. It is also a fear of being judged in a bad way or of people not liking you.


These are all the types of anxieties that many people have. Some people say it can control your life.

  6. This article is very good, at first I did not know what Anxiety was, but after I read the article I know how serious it is.I feel like there should be people who would help people with anxiety.
