Elite vs. Zombie Strike

By:Ethan Hibler

Have you ever wanted to know what Nerf guns were really like? Maybe you don’t even know what a Nerf gun is. Nerf guns are toy guns, that resemble real guns, and anyone, just about any age can use them. Elite class and Zombie Strike class are two of the many classes in the Nerf family. Read on for a complete breakdown of the classes.

Elite
Elite guns are some of the most popular Nerf guns. Their colors are usually red, orange, blue, and white. Elite guns shoot well, and their designs are very nice. Below are five, well-shooting Elite Nerf guns.

Strongarm
review da nerf elite strongarm
The Strongarm is a revolver-like Nerf pistol.  It has a 6-dart cylinder barrel that can open by pressing the orange button on the other side of this picture. The Strongarm is great, but it’s way bigger than most of the other Nerf pistols. It also has a tactical rail on the top of the gun for attachments, like a scope or a bullet holder. To shoot, you pull back the grey handle at the back, let go, and pull the trigger.

Retaliator
The Retaliator is a bolt-action sniper like Nerf gun. It comes with a 12-dart clip, or you can buy clips that hold more ammo. The Retaliator has attachable and detachable parts on it. First, there’s the stock. It’s the back of the gun, which gives you extra support to your arm. Next up, the extended barrel. The extended barrel is basically what makes this gun a sniper. Just go buy a scope and it’s a true sniper. The extended barrel has holes in it, and it has two tactical rails- one on the top and bottom. It also has flip-up sights, which is the orange thing at the top and front of the blaster. Finally, the foregrip. It’s the handle underneath the barrel. It gives you more accuracy while aiming, though, most people like it better without the foregrip. To reload, first, you pull the handle that says Retaliator Elite. Then, you pull the small orange lever on the side of the gun while pulling out the clip. The lever is by the trigger. You put the bullets into the clip the same direction as the clip tells. Finally, you just put the clip  back in the blaster, pull the handle forward, and it’s ready to fire. Repeat the pull-backward and pull-forward direction. This gun also has three tactical rails. It has one on the main blaster, and two more on the long barrel- top and bottom.

Longstrike cs-6

The Longstrike cs-6 is also a bolt-action sniper-like Nerf gun. It comes with one 6-dart clip, though, it can store two more 6-dart clips at the stock of the gun, but you have to buy those somewhere else. The Longstrike cs-6, like the Retaliator, can use an extended clip, but you can’t store extended clips in the stock. They’d be too big. The cs-6 comes with two attachments. First, it has iron sights. Iron sights are shapes used as a sighting device, but exclude optics, like scopes. On this picture, the iron sights are the two shapes that are sticking up at the top of the gun. The other attachment is the extended barrel. Like the Retaliator, the Longstrike extended barrel also has holes in it, it has two tactical rails on the top and bottom, and as you can see, it gives the cs-6 its sniper-like image. To load up, you pull the round orange handle on the side backwards, pull the small orange lever by the trigger while pulling out the clip. Load the darts into the clip in the given direction, put the clip back in the gun, pull the orange round handle forward, and it’s ready to fire. Repeat pulling the orange round handle backwards and forwards.

Rough Cut 2x4

The Rough Cut 2x4 is a pump-action shotgun-like Nerf gun. You can see the grey pump handle at the bottom of the blaster. First off, it’s called 2x4 because if you look at the front of the gun, you’ll see that the bullets are in a 2x4 formation. Next, the Rough Cut has two triggers for the two sides of darts. When you pump the gun, you can pull both triggers to shoot two bullets, or pull one trigger to shoot one bullet. Also, the R.C. 2x4 has one tactical rail for attachments, and it is extremely light, so it’s great for battle. Speaking of battle, say you’re out of ammo and you have to reload really fast. You can put the bullets in any hole and the Rough Cut knows which holes are loaded. This blaster is smart!

Nerf Cam ECS-12

The Nerf Cam ECS-12 is a fully-automatic assault rifle-like Nerf gun. That means that you can just hold the trigger and the bullets fly out rapidly. Anyway, the word “Cam” means that this gun has a built in camera. If you see the orange thing that’s sticking out the top of the gun, the camera is right below it, but the camera isn’t visible in this picture. The Nerf Camera is meant to use as a killcam, like on the game “Call of Duty”, but you can also use it to record videos. The Nerf Cam ECS-12 has two tactical rails- one at the top and one at the bottom of the blaster. The number “12” in the name means that it comes with a 12-dart clip, even though, you can use an extended clip as well. To reload, you press the orange button by the trigger (on the opposite side of the handle) while pulling out the clip, load up the darts in the correct direction, and put the clip back into the gun. To shoot, there’s no cocking or pulling back anything. First, you just hold the acceleration trigger (you should hear a motor going), then pull and hold the trigger.

Zombie Strike
Zombie Strike guns are some pretty powerful and popular Nerf blasters as well. Zombie Strike’s weird colors usually come in green, brown, grey, orange, red, blue, and sometimes yellow. The bullets are shaped and made just like the Elite bullets. They’re just different colors. Below, you will learn about five different Zombie Strike Nerf guns. Also, if you’re wondering, Zombie Strike guns probably wouldn’t kill zombies if there was a zombie apocalypse.

Hammershot

The Hammershot is also a revolver-like Nerf gun. Even though the Strongarm and the Hammershot are both revolvers, they’re both very different. The Hammershot has a 5-dart cylinder barrel, which is one less than the Strongarm, that doesn’t open up like the Strongarm. You just load up the bullets at the front. It has one tactical rail, like the Strongarm, and is around the same size of the Strongarm. To shoot the Hammershot, you pull down the orange lever at the back of the gun repeatedly, like a real revolver, instead of pulling back a big handle, like the Strongarm. This gun is great for dual wielding, which means you can hold two at once.

Crossfire Bow

The Crossfire Bow is a cross bow-like Nerf gun. It’s called a “bow”, but it doesn’t shoot crossbows. It holds and shoots four regular Zombie Strike bullets. The bow part, which is the parts that stick out, can fold for storage. The Crossfire has one tactical rail and you can put a stock on the back, but the Crossfire doesn’t come with a stock. To shoot, you pull back the orange handle, which is at the top and back of the bow. Then, you just pull the trigger and repeat.

Slingfire

The Slingfire is a bolt-action sniper-like Nerf gun, but it’s way different than the Retaliator. First, it has no parts that come off, except for the clip. It holds six darts, but it can use an extended clip. The Slingfire has one tactical rail and a brown stock for a vintage look. To load up, you pull the gray handle all the way forward, which is under the trigger, forward. Then, you pull the small orange button back, while pulling out the clip and load the darts into the clip as the directions say, and put the clip back into the blaster. Finally, you pull the gray handle all the way back, and shoot. Repeat pulling the handle back and forth.

Doominator

The Doominator doesn’t really fit any gun title, but it’s an incredible gun. It holds twenty-four bullets- six in each of the four revolving barrels. It has one tactical rail and a detachable part, which is the foregrip. You twist it all the way to take it off, and twist it back on. The foregrip can be put on three different sides of the dark gray thing at the front. To shoot, you pull the green handle back, and then forth. When one barrel runs out, pull the loopty loop trigger.

The Zed Squad Longshot CS-12 is also a bolt-action sniper-like Nerf gun. It functions just like the Elite Longstrike CS-6. The Zed Squad comes with a 12-dart clip, but you can use an extended clip as well. It has one tactical rail, which holds the scope that it comes with. To load up, you pull back the circular orange handle, then pull the small orange handle right below it while pulling out the clip. Load the darts in the same direction and put the clip back in the blaster, and pull the orange handle forward, and now, shoot. Repeat pulling the big, orange handle back and forth.

So, have you decided which Nerf gun is the all time best? Above, I’ve shown you five Elite guns and five Zombie Strike guns. Some are realistic and some are fantasized. From pistols to snipers, every Nerf gun title is here. This is, the ULTIMATE NERF BATTLE! Choose your weapon!

  5. Not all Nerf clip system "guns" are sniper rifles and in the case of the slingfire it is lever action not bolt action, also the cam esc12 is semi not full auto, you might have been thinking about the rapidstrike,a full auto Nerf "gun"
