800,000 People Illegal Again!

By: Guadalupe Campos Soto

Republican President Donald Trump has taken away the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program known as D.A.C.A. Read on to find out what people in America think about this situation.

The Deferred Action for childhood Arrivals (D.A.C.A) is very important  to immigrants in America. It seems that some people are so racist they cannot see that. Almost 800,000 young immigrants have D.A.C.A.! In case you don’t know what D.A.C.A. is, well during President Obama’s administration he made a program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals also known as D.A.C.A. D.A.C.A is a way for young undocumented immigrants that grew up here to have temporary legality. That gave hope to 800,000 undocumented immigrants in America.

Now our “beloved” (<------SARCASM) new president Donald J. Trump (El Trompudo) wants put an end to D.A.C.A.! Congress has only 6 months to find a solution for the almost 800,000 people with D.A.C.A. ! “I feel angry because, it makes no sense, if [people] grew up here they are considered Americans.” said Miya Mcroy Northwest 7th grader. I personally am infuriated by this very idiotic decision. People have sacrificed so much to cross the border trying to provide better life for their young children. Some people don’t understand what illegals are going through right now.

“Immigrants are important because we need intelligence here.” Miya said. We do need the intelligence here because many undocumented immigrants come here to study. For example Belsy Garcia Manrique came from Guatemala and is a student at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. There she studies biology, chemistry and math. She hopes to become a doctor but there is a much less chance of her accomplishing her goals due to the removal of Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (D.A.C.A.).

People who were born here don’t understand the fear undocumented people have. The fear of one knock on the door from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E) with an order of deportation. With that knock goes everything that they worked for. “I would feel that everything I had went to the trash.” Miya said. That’s exactly what young undocumented immigrants feel. I know so many people that have D.A.C.A and have had a great success here. For example a close friend I have, who will remain anonymous, that is here with D.A.C.A. and is studying medicine. As well someone else I know is hopefully going to work at Cerner but in the meantime they are studying computer science at the University Of Missouri Kansas City (U.M.K.C.).

All this intelligence is going to go to waste just because there were a couple of rotten apples in the bunch. Donald Trump doesn't see that. We as Americans have to fight back and get these people an opportunity once again.  Yes I am very aware that there are criminal illegals here. That doesn't mean that every immigrant is a terrible criminal.
Immigrants have helped make America the country it is today. They have boosted the economy with all the labor the have done here. For example many immigrants have started by working in fields harvesting crops. Others got lucky and studied in their previous country and got a somewhat good job here.. Not everyone came here to sell drugs and cause mischief. With all this help from immigrants, America is better than before. We are supposed to be the land that accepts everyone no matter what race or religion.

If you do support Trump just because of what he has said in speeches then dig a little deeper. Trump only focuses on the bad thing that immigrants bring to the county. Always dig a little deeper after someone says something. Always seek information from both sides before making an assumption. Do you think that D.A.C.A. should be a coming to an end?
