We finally found our winner, * DrumRoll * please and our winner is……Snickers!!! It was the number one seed from the Chocolately Division. Snickers survived every round and made it to the top. Which candy do you think was suppose to be the winner?
At first we started with a total of 16 candies, 8 in each division. The winner from each round went against another winner according to the bracket. Here are a few facts about each candy.
- Skittles was introduced to the United States in the mid 1970’s, Skittles sells around 600 million bags each year.
- Lemon-Heads produced in 1962 by Ferrara Pan Candy Company.
- Air-Head/Air-Head Extreme created in the late 1980’s by an Italian Company.
- Jolly Ranchers was founded in 1949, throughout the years the company started to sell worldwide.
- Starburst was first introduced in England in 1959, at first they were named “Opal Fruit” but after it was brought to the United States they were named “Starburst”.
- Gummy Bears was first invented around 1920.
- Snickers has annual sales of $2 billion and was invented in 1930.
- Hershey’s was introduced in 1894 by the Hershey Company.
- Twix was made in 1967, and was known as the “Raider Bar”.
- Milky-Way was invented in 1923, it’s name came from the word “Milkshake”.
- Kit-Kat was introduced in 1935 and is sold only in 16 countries.
- 3 Musketeers was invented in 1932 and throughout the years the company started adding new flavors.
- Reece’s is the yummy flavor of peanut butter and chocolate mixed together invented in 1928.
- Ferrero Rocher was invented by a Italian Company in 1982
