Sexism is one of the biggest problems that we have in the world and also one of the problems that can lead to offending others.😤😥
Sexism is “discrimination based on sex or gender, or the belief that men are superior and thus discrimination is justified.”
It seems like the President is always saying something sexist. He once went so far that he insulted women calling them names such as fat, pigs, slobs, and disgusting animals😤😡. Some people think that women are only useful to clean, cook, and wash laundry. Woman should have rights to have an education and a career (just as a male). Many women/girls in other countries don’t even have the opportunity to go to school. The only thing that these girls learn is how to be a housewife or mother.
“56% of men in a new pew survey of more than 4,000 adults ages 18 to 65-plus, said that the obstacles that made it harder for women to get ahead are largely gone.” said Huffington post. When I read this article I thought to myself, male sexism is far from being gone. That’s why I am against sexism because some people think that these kind of problems aren't there anymore when it is still one of the biggest problems today.
Everyone has heard what our president has had to say about women. In the 1990’s Donald Trump kept a picture of one of his workers Louise Sunshine in his drawer, it was a picture of when she had more weight than she had at that time, and when she would do something that he didn’t like he would take out the picture from the drawer and insult her. Yeah I know, who would think that our “great” president would do something like that! Well to be honest it’s not surprising at all that Donald Trump is capable of doing such thing.
Woman should have the same respect as men, because they can do any job that is put in front of them.
Some jobs that people think women aren't capable of:
- Astronaut
- Doctor
- Lawyer
- Soldier
- Engineer
- President
Overall women should be able to have the same job’s and the same education as men. I am protesting against the discrimination of women because it’s one of the many problems in many countries and can lead to the division of our country.
