Many people argue about who are currently the best basketball players. They say things like “Lebron is the best basketball player” or “ No Stephen Curry is better than Lebron.” But who are really the top five best basketball players?
-
Stephen Curry- With 110 points worth of pull up shots (which is 28 more than anyone else) Stephen Curry takes 1st place for The Top Five Best Basketball Players. Last year he led the NBA with 643 three-point shots. Today he is on pace to shoot 884 three-pointers but only made 401.
- Lebron James- In 2012 and 2013 Lebron James led the Heat to two NBA titles, and won a third championship in 2014 with Cleveland. Lebron James was the first forward who completed 8.0 assists per game on average. He was also the youngest player who scored 40 points in a single game, which puts him in 2nd place for The Top Five Best Basketball Players.
- Kevin Durant- A three time NBA All-Star and three NBA scoring makes 3rd place The Top Five Best Basketball Players. He continues to thrive with a new franchise, which is why he was named the NBA-All Star in 2010-12.
- Russell Westbrook-Having two national gold medals, one at the 2010 FIBA Championship, and the other at the 2012 London Olympics. Russell Westbrook makes 4th place for The Top Five Basketball Players. In 2014 he won the ESPY ‘Comeback Athlete’ award. He is one of the only five players in NBA history ever to record 4,000 points, 1,500 assists, and 1,000 rebounds in his first three seasons.
- Chris Paul- Being named the all defensive team 3 three times, Chris Paul makes 5th place for the Top five Best Basketball Players. He was drafted as the number 4 pick by the New Orleans Hornets. He was also named the ‘All Defensive Team’ three times. Even after he injured his knee in 2009-2010, after eight weeks he came back and finished the season strong.
Overall there are a lot of great basketball players, but these are my top 5 best basketball players. Who are yours?
i really like this keep going.
