The song is from her album “Dreaming of You.” It talks about how her love is the only thing that heals her wounds.
9. No Me Queda Mas
The song was based on the end of a relationship. The guy denies there was anything but the girl still loves him.
8. I Could Fall in Love
This song was a big hit. It won the Tejano Music award for “Tejano crossover song of the year.” Plus #3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Recurrent Airplay chart.
7. El Chico Del Apartamento 512
The fourth song from Selena’s album “Amor Prohibido,” talks about a girl who is heartbroken and knocks on the door of her crush in apartment 512.
6. La Carcacha
The song talks about her boyfriend. It says that over the lack of money and good looks, she loves him because he treats her like a real woman.
5. Baila Esta Cumbia
This is the second single from her album “Ven Conmigo” The song is about dancing a lively style of dance called “Cumbia.”
4. La Llamada
This song was released as the second single from her “Live!” The song is about a girl telling her boyfriend to never call again after she has caught him kissing another girl.
3. Amor Prohibido
The song was the first single from her fourth album, “Amor Prohibido.” The song was based on how Selena’s grandparents fell in love despite their social differences.
2. Como La Flor
This is the second song from her album, ”Entra a Mi Mundo.” (Enter my world) The song talks about a woman who is in pain from a previous relationship. The song explains the relationships dries up and dies, “como la flor,” (like the flower).
1. Bidi Bidi Bom Bom
This song is the 6th song on her 4th album, ”Amor Prohibido” The song originally was about fish swimming freely in the ocean. The title is now the sound of someone’s heartbeat while they are falling in love.
The Tejano queen is no longer alive unfortunately. Even though we can’t have more of her music we can still cherish the amazing music she has left us. Let me know in the comments which song you like best.
